The Northern Cross in Cygnus
The starscape over southern Rhode Island on this late June night was unspeakably stunning. The bright Sagittarius arm of the Milky Way galaxy blazed across the skies, commanding the focus of all eyes in attendance. This shot features the easily visible Northern Cross asterism in the constellation Cygnus. The Northern Cross can be seen inside the Summer Triangle. I shot this at Frosty Drew Observatory in Charlestown, Rhode Island, USA
